Tiger Farewell - GVS

To celebrate the end of Tiger operation at GVS depot the Trust ran an outing on 29th November 2008. The excursion started from the Europa at 09:15 with the now-unusual sight of two Tigers on the platform - 368 on the outing and 1250 on a 38 to Banbridge (driver preference). 368 was en route to the former Alexander factory at Mallusk. The route was then via Roughfort, Templepatrick, Gregory's Corner, Clady Corner, Dundrod, Nutt's Corner, Fitzgerald's Cross Roads, Diamond, Crumlin, Glenavy, Stoneyford, Glenavy (again), Aghadalgon, Ballinderry, Lisburn and Hillhall back to the Europa. After lunch 1267 did the honours taking in Belvoir Park, Drumbo, Carryduff, Ballygowan, Derryboye, Shrigley, Comber and Holywood. On its return to GVS the Wayfarer was removed and 1267 was removed to the very top of the yard and parked alongside a dead Ultra. The destination blind was taken out and returned to the garage store.
